A well-chosen hat is a great addition to any autumn or winter outfit. Some styles also work in summer—for example by the sea when it gets cooler. If you’re looking for pieces made with care and from well-tested, high-quality yarns, you’re in the right place.
Warm hats for winter, autumn and even cooler summer days
At Nitkowe Love, you’ll mainly find wool hats. They keep you warm while helping manage moisture. I often work with alpaca and baby merino, and sometimes combine them with other fibres to give each hat its own character. If you’re looking for a soft, comfortable option, you might like a folded alpaca hat or a classic alpaca hat. If you prefer a smoother feel without the typical fibre halo, take a look at baby merino options: here and here.
Both alpaca and merino can also be combined with mohair and silk, creating styles that feel a bit more refined and “city-ready”. If you’re drawn to something lighter and fluffier, take a look at alpaca blends – classic and folded—these are soft, airy pieces that many people find hard to resist.
Hats for women, men and children – choose what works for you
To learn more about the fibres and the hats made from them, simply explore the categories. I try to include as much useful information as possible in each description—how the hat feels, what to expect in everyday use, and how to care for it so it lasts for years. If you don’t find exactly what you’re looking for, get in touch—I can make a custom version in your preferred colour or style (depending on yarn availability).
