Shawls, Wraps and Snoods

( number of products: 117 )

For almost every Nitkowe Love beanie, I can make a matching neck accessory in the same shade.

If you don’t see the scarf, snood or wrap you’re looking for, you can order a different colour and simply write in the notes which one you would like me to make for you (colour number + name).

If you have any doubts, feel free to message me. I’m sure we’ll manage with the help of a translator :))

Handmade wraps, shawls and snoods made from natural fibres combine function with lasting quality. In this category you will find accessories knitted from merino wool, cashmere, alpaca, mohair and silk blends – designed to provide warmth, regulate temperature and serve you for many seasons. These pieces are created for those who choose natural wool instead of synthetics and prefer to make conscious decisions.

Natural fibres – what is the difference between merino, cashmere, alpaca and mohair?

Each yarn has its own characteristics, so it is worth choosing according to your needs.

Merino (merino wool) – soft, elastic and versatile. It regulates temperature well and works both in autumn, winter and on cooler spring days.

Cashmere – lightweight, gently insulating and comfortable for everyday wear.

Alpaca – fluffy, with a natural halo, providing noticeable warmth (on very sensitive skin it may be slightly perceptible).

Mohair – delicate, with its characteristic halo, often blended with silk for lightness and a subtle sheen.

Silk in blends – adds lightness and elegance.

Natural wool helps maintain thermal comfort – it keeps you warm when it is cold and allows the skin to breathe. That is why wool accessories often perform better than acrylic or polyester alternatives.

Wrap, shawl or snood – what to choose?

The choice depends on how you prefer to wear neck accessories.

Shawl – usually rectangular, easy to wrap around the neck or drape over the shoulders.

Wrap (triangular shawl) – usually triangular or asymmetrical, offering more draping possibilities. It can also be worn on the head – in a classic way or in a more modern style, as an alternative to a thin balaclava. A wrap is usually more affordable than a long shawl, and thanks to natural fibres you do not need to layer excessively – less fabric is often enough.

Snood – a closed loop that you quickly put on over your head. Practical for everyday wear and walks. You can also order a snood that perfectly matches your beanie – in the same stitch pattern and shade.

A large wool wrap works well for winter layering, while a lighter mohair and silk shawl is a delicate accessory for spring or autumn. A merino snood is a comfortable solution for a coat or jacket.

From experience, I know that a wrap also works beautifully on a cool summer evening, when you are sitting outside with friends. Wool is wool 🙂

Handmade and slow production

Each model is made by hand – without mass production and without rushing. That is why the knit structure, thickness and yarn composition are clearly described with every product. You will also find information whether the item is ready to ship or made to order.

Well cared for, wool can last for many years. With your order you will receive a short care guide so you know how to look after natural fibres.

If you are unsure which model to choose, you can contact me. I will help you select the right thickness, fibre composition and colour for your needs.
