Material and feel against the skin
This beanie is made from yarn with a composition of 75% merino, 25% polyamide, certified to Oeko-Tex® Standard 100, which means the fibre has been tested for harmful substances. The knit is smooth, without a fuzzy surface, so it has a neat, compact look rather than a fluffy finish. To the touch, the material has a typical wool feel, with the noticeable springiness of merino.
Please note: on a very sensitive scalp, the beanie may feel slightly itchy, especially when worn directly against the skin for many hours.
Style and fit
NELLI is a turn-up beanie, hand-knitted by me on needles in a double rib stitch. This stitch moves with the shape of the head: it adapts well to the circumference without feeling tight, as long as the right size is chosen. The turn-up lets you adjust the height of the beanie – you can wear it closer to the head or with a gentle slouch at the back, without exposing the ears. The medium-weight knit means it fits under most hoods and does not create a stiff, bulky shape.
