It works well for cold, windy days in autumn and winter, when you want noticeable extra warmth around the ears and head. The strong scarlet red suits those who like more distinctive accessories and want the beanie to act as a clear accent in an outfit. It may not be the best option if you prefer thin beanies in neutral colours, or if your scalp is very sensitive and you do not tolerate even slight itchiness from wool.
