HELLI Merino Wool Beanie 100% Baby Merino 50 Zielona Szałwia
| I do my best to show the colours as accurately as possible in the photos, but sometimes my phone has its own ideas ;) Please remember that shades may also look slightly different depending on your screen settings. If I have added several photos, it is worth looking at all of them together for the best colour reference. |
HELLI is a handmade merino wool beanie made from 100% Baby Merino. It has a medium weight for autumn and winter, a smooth surface, and an elongated back. Availability depends on the size selected — click the variant to see whether it is ready to ship or made to order.
When this style makes sense
This model is a good choice if you are looking for a winter or transitional beanie for cooler days, but without a heavy, chunky feel and without a folded brim at the forehead. It works well when soft contact with the skin and a calm, smooth look in Green Sage matter to you. The elongated back gives it a more relaxed shape, so it is not the right fit if you prefer a short beanie that sits very close to the head. If you need a hat for severe frost and very windy conditions, it is worth noting that its medium weight is more versatile than expedition-level.
How it feels on the skin
I use 100% Baby Merino here — a merino yarn chosen for gentle contact with the skin. The smooth knit without a fuzzy finish helps reduce any rough feel, and the yarn is certified to Oeko-Tex® Standard 100, meaning it has been tested for harmful substances.
It is still wool, so if you avoid all natural fibres around the face, it is worth taking your own individual sensitivity into account.
Shape and fit on the head
The HELLI model has a classic beanie line, but without a folded brim, so it sits more lightly at the edge and does not add an extra layer over the ears. The ribbed knit helps it adapt to the head, while the elongated back creates a more relaxed shape than beanies that follow the nape closely. It is a good option if you want a simple style without decorative cables and without a fluffy surface finish.
What matters most in everyday wear
- 100% Baby Merino – gives softer contact with the skin, so this model may also work well for people who do not get on with rougher wool.
- Medium weight – makes the beanie easy to wear from autumn into winter without the feel of a heavy, bulky layer.
- Double rib knit – adds elasticity to the fabric, so the beanie adjusts better when putting it on and wearing it.
- No folded brim – the edge stays less built up, giving a simpler look and less bulk at the forehead.
- Elongated back – the beanie sits more loosely at the back, so it does not create a very compact, short profile.
- Smooth, non-fuzzy surface – makes it easier to pair with different coats and jackets without a visually fluffy effect.
- Handmade on knitting needles – gives it the character of a piece made individually rather than industrially produced.
Complete the set
If you would like to change the character of this model, you can choose a beanie with pom-pom in the same colour and made from the same yarn. You can also pair it with matching shawls, wraps and snoods if you want a cohesive set in natural yarn.
For care, it is best to follow the rules appropriate for merino wool: see the short wool care guide. This model requires hand washing, and in normal use it is worth keeping in mind its medium resistance to pilling, which is typical of finer yarns.
