CHMURKA Alpaca Beanie 09 Navy
CHMURKA is a thin, lightweight alpaca wool beanie in deep navy, handmade with knitting needles. It works especially well in the transitional seasons as a soft, head-covering handmade beanie. When the navy CHMURKA is a good choice
This thin, navy alpaca beanie works well for autumn and spring temperatures, when you want head coverage but not a very thick winter hat. The extended back and no turn-up give it a relaxed, classic look that is easy to wear with everyday outfits. If you are looking for a close-fitting beanie or a very thick, typically winter hat for long frosty days, this style may not meet your expectations. If you are especially sensitive to natural wool fibres, a style described as “very soft / non-itchy” may be a better choice.
Natural yarn and skin contact
The beanie is made from a blend containing 65% alpaca, 28% polyamide and 7% wool, which creates a lightweight, fluffy knit with a delicate halo. The combination of natural fibres with a synthetic fibre helps the beanie hold its shape and makes it less prone to stretching than pure alpaca. Against the skin, this style feels soft, but on a very sensitive scalp or forehead you may notice slight itchiness — in that case, it is worth considering wearing it over a thin headband or choosing a different yarn. The yarn is certified to Oeko-Tex® Standard 100.
How it sits on the head
CHMURKA is a classic beanie without a turn-up, with a clearly extended back that falls softly behind the head. The smooth stitch helps it sit evenly, without extra bulk. The beanie has natural stretch from the knit structure, so it adapts to the shape of the head without feeling too tight. This style is better suited to those who prefer a looser fit on the forehead rather than a close, snug beanie.
CHMURKA alpaca beanie in everyday wear
- Thin and lightweight alpaca knit — gives head coverage on cooler autumn and spring days without feeling heavy.
- Delicate fluffy halo on the surface — gives the beanie a soft, slightly cloud-like look and subtly softens an outfit.
- Extended beanie back — lets you wear it with a relaxed shape, without pulling it tightly down over the forehead.
- Moderate resistance to pilling — with frequent wear, it is worth limiting rubbing against rough hoods or Velcro to help keep a smoother look for longer.
- Handmade with knitting needles — each piece is individually finished, which helps reduce the risk of seams twisting unexpectedly on the head.
- No turn-up — makes it easier to wear the beanie under a hood or helmet without an extra layer over the forehead.
- Hand washing — requires gentle care, but helps preserve the shape and fibre qualities for longer.
Finishing and matching accessories
The beanie is finished with a removable eco-leather Nitkowe Love label, which can be taken off easily before washing to help protect both the label and the knit itself. If you would like to add something around the neck in a similar style, you can find matching shawls, wraps and snoods to build your set — also if you are looking for something in a different fibre blend than wool beanies. Because of the natural fibre content, gentle hand washing and flat drying are recommended; you can find more practical tips in the guide wool care.
