CHMURKA Handmade Alpaca Beanie 46 Dark Olive
| I do my best to show the colours as accurately as possible in the photos, but sometimes my phone has its own ideas ;) Please remember that shades may also look slightly different depending on your screen settings. If I have added several photos, it is worth looking at all of them together for the best colour reference. |
CHMURKA beanie in dark olive is a lightweight, fine alpaca beanie for autumn and spring, handmade with knitting needles, with a gently fluffy surface and a slightly extended back. You can check availability after clicking your size — there you will see whether the piece is ready to ship or made to order.
When it is worth choosing this style
This style is for those looking for lightweight head coverage for transitional weather and who prefer a soft, unbulky shape over a thick winter knit. It works well for everyday wear: with a coat, a mid-season jacket, and simple city outfits, especially if a calm, natural colour matters to you. This is not a beanie for hard frost or for those who expect a very close-fitting, short shape around the head. If you need more thermal coverage, a thicker winter beanie will be a better choice.
Yarn and how it feels to wear
I used a yarn with alpaca in the blend: 65% alpaca, 28% polyamide, 7% wool. This blend creates a lightweight knit with a soft hand and a subtle halo, while keeping a more everyday, practical character than very fluffy, chunky beanies.
Important: on very sensitive skin, contact with the knit may feel slightly itchy.
A shape that sits naturally without a turn-up
This is a beanie without a folded brim, with a smooth stitch and a slightly extended back, so it sits more loosely than a classic short beanie. This cut creates a softer line at the back and does not add extra volume at the forehead. In practice, it is a good choice if you like women’s alpaca beanies with a calm, understated shape. If you usually choose styles that fit very closely and hold a firm shape, this cut may feel too soft.
What it offers in everyday wear
- Fine, lightweight knit – suitable for the transitional season when you want coverage without a heavy feel on the head.
- Alpaca-rich blend – gives gentle warmth suited to autumn and spring despite the beanie’s delicate look.
- Handmade with knitting needles – each handmade beanie has its own rhythm of stitches and is not a mass-produced piece.
- Smooth stitch – the surface looks calm and pairs easily with different outerwear textures.
- Subtle halo on the surface – this style has a softer visual character than beanies with a very defined, compact knit.
- Moderate resistance to pilling – with regular wear, it is worth expecting the natural signs of use typical of this type of yarn.
- Oeko-Tex® Standard 100 certified yarn – confirms that the yarn has been tested for harmful substances.
Additional information
You can choose matching shawls, wraps and snoods if you want a coordinated set in a similar material and colour range. For care, it is best to follow the rules appropriate for wool and alpaca: see the short wool care guide. This style should be hand washed. The beanie is finished with a removable eco-leather label, which can be taken off before washing.
