CHMURKA Handmade Alpaca Beanie 59 Czerwone Wino
| I do my best to show the colours as accurately as possible in the photos, but sometimes my phone has its own ideas ;) Please remember that shades may also look slightly different depending on your screen settings. If I have added several photos, it is worth looking at all of them together for the best colour reference. |
CHMURKA is a thin, lightweight alpaca beanie, hand-knitted and designed for autumn and spring, with a soft halo and a slightly elongated back. Availability depends on the option you choose — click your size to check whether the beanie is ready to ship or made to order.
When it works well and who it suits
This style is a good choice if you are looking for a warm women’s beanie for cooler transitional days, without the heavy, thick feel of a typical winter hat. It works well for everyday wear when lightness and some protection from the wind matter, while keeping a more understated look. Because it has no turn-up cuff and a lighter construction, it is better suited to autumn and spring than to hard frost. If you need a hat for very low temperatures or want a clearly thicker layer around the ears, it is better to choose a style with a more substantial knit.
Yarn and feel against the skin
This beanie is made from a yarn composed of 65% alpaca, 28% polyamide, 7% wool, certified to Oeko-Tex® Standard 100. I choose fibres with everyday use in mind as well: alpaca adds lightness and seasonal warmth, while the added fibres support the practical qualities of the finished knit.
It may not feel comfortable on very sensitive skin — this beanie can feel slightly itchy, so if you are highly sensitive to texture, it is worth keeping that in mind before buying.
Shape and fit
This is a beanie without a turn-up cuff, with a classic shape and a slightly elongated back. This cut fits more loosely than a short, close-fitting hat and does not add extra bulk at the edge. The smooth stitch gives it a calm, neat finish, so the burgundy wine-red shade remains the main feature of the style. If you prefer a more covered, wrapped feel around the forehead, it is worth noting that this shape does not have a folded layer.
What it offers in everyday wear
- Thin, lightweight knit – easy to tuck into a bag or coat pocket when the weather changes during the day.
- Autumn | spring season – gives suitable coverage for cooler transitional days, without the character of a heavy winter hat.
- No turn-up cuff – the edge stays less bulky, so the overall look feels lighter and calmer around the face.
- Elongated back – the beanie sits more softly at the back of the head instead of ending short and stiff.
- Soft halo on the surface – visually, this style has a softer, slightly fluffy finish compared with smooth, compact wool hats.
- Hand-knitted – I make each piece myself, so the finished beanie keeps the character of a handmade item rather than mass production.
- Moderate resistance to pilling – with regular wear, it is worth expecting natural changes to the surface of the knit over time.
Additional information
You can pair it with matching shawls, wraps and snoods if you would like a coordinated set in a similar style. For care, it is best to follow the rules appropriate for natural fibres — a short guide is available here: wool care. This style requires hand washing, which is worth considering if easy everyday care matters to you.
