CHMURKA Turn-Up Alpaca Beanie 33 Różowy Piasek
| I do my best to show the colours as accurately as possible in the photos, but sometimes my phone has its own ideas ;) Please remember that shades may also look slightly different depending on your screen settings. If I have added several photos, it is worth looking at all of them together for the best colour reference. |
CHMURKA Alpaca 33 Pink Sand is a handmade, turn-up beanie in a medium-weight knit, made from a soft yarn with a high alpaca wool content, suitable for the autumn–winter season. To check whether a particular piece is ready to ship or made to order, click on your chosen size.
When this beanie is a good choice
It works well if you are looking for a warm winter beanie that covers the ears well without feeling heavy or stiff. The medium-weight knit and folded brim make it practical for everyday wear on colder days, including changeable weather. The Pink Sand shade suits a calm, muted palette and is a good option if you prefer soft pink tones over stronger colours. It may not be the best choice if you have a very sensitive scalp and do not tolerate even slight wool itchiness.
Material and feel against the skin
The beanie is knitted from a yarn made of 65% alpaca, 28% polyamide, 7% wool, with a soft, visible halo typical of alpaca beanies. This blend gives a soft hand feel and good thermal insulation in a relatively lightweight knit, while the added synthetic fibres help improve resistance to pilling and help the beanie keep its shape after washing. Against the skin, it feels rather soft, but if your scalp is very sensitive, the natural alpaca and wool fibres may feel slightly itchy — in that case, it may be worth wearing it over a thin headband or choosing a different style.
Shape and fit on the head
The CHMURKA style is a turn-up beanie with a slight oversized effect, knitted in a single rib stitch. The ribbed construction allows the knit to adapt flexibly to the head circumference without feeling overly tight in everyday wear. The folded brim creates a double layer over the ears, which strengthens protection from cold and wind, while a small, softly shaped “cloud” remains at the crown. This shape gives you some freedom in how you wear it — more fitted or with a looser back, depending on how high or low you place the beanie on your head.
What this beanie offers in everyday wear
- Medium-weight knit – gives noticeable warmth in autumn and winter without feeling like a heavy layer on the head.
- Double layer over the ears – creates extra protection from wind, which is especially useful on walks or during the commute.
- Alpaca- and wool-rich composition – supports thermal comfort in changing temperatures and helps reduce overheating indoors or during higher activity.
- Ribbed stitch – helps the beanie stay in place, prevents it from slipping easily, and adapts well to different hairstyles.
- Delicate halo on the surface – gives the beanie a soft, cloud-like look that pairs easily with both classic coats and puffer jackets.
- Improved resistance to pilling – helps the knit keep a neat appearance with frequent wear and use over more than one season.
- Oeko-Tex Standard 100 certified yarn – confirms that the yarn used has been tested for selected unwanted substances, which may matter in long-term contact with the skin.
Finishing and matching accessories
The beanie is hand-knitted, so each piece has a slightly individual character in the finishing. It is decorated with a Nitkowe Love eco-leather label, which can be conveniently unfastened before washing to help reduce wear. If you would like to put together a coordinated set for the colder season, you can choose a matching shawl, scarf or snood to complement the Pink Sand colour and add more protection from the cold.
To help the beanie keep its shape and the properties of the yarn, it requires hand washing; you can find detailed guidance in the wool care guide, where I describe reliable methods for gently cleaning and drying knitwear.
