For everyday wear and the colder months
This style works well if you are looking for a beanie for everyday outings on colder days and prefer a calm, versatile look. The dark grey pairs easily with outerwear in different colours, so it fits naturally into an urban wardrobe. It is a good option for autumn and winter when you want coverage without a very heavy, bulky shape. If you need a beanie for severe frost or a highly technical outdoor style, the medium weight may not be enough.
Yarn and feel against the skin
I use 100% Baby Merino here because, with the smooth surface of the knit and no halo, it gives a calmer feel against the skin. This style is also suitable for sensitive skin, and the yarn is certified to Oeko-Tex® Standard 100.
As with any wool, it requires gentle wool care and hand washing to help maintain its shape and qualities.
How it fits on the head
This is a turned-up beanie, so it suits a simple, everyday style and does not create a stiff, accidental-looking shape. The fit is close, but thanks to the elasticity of the knit it should not feel rigid. The folded brim defines the line around the forehead and ears, and the beanie sits securely when worn. If you prefer very loose, slouchy styles with extra height, this cut may not give that effect.
